Last week, we received a call from the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield, Colorado. As a heavy towing company, we weren’t sure what to expect from a call from the local public-use airport. But it turns out that our assistance wasn’t needed for any aviation devices, but rather a jet fuel truck that was having issues.
We take pride in providing quick and effective solutions and responded right away to assist. Upon arrival at the airport, we were pointed in the direction of a far fence that had the truck in question’s nose parked up against it. It appeared that a seized brake line was to blame for the truck’s breakdown. To make the heavy towing project more difficult, the back axle was locked up as a result of the brake line.
Not to worry though! Our heavy towing technician set out to work. Although the jet fuel truck was empty at the time, this can prove to be a dangerous task. This is due to the truck having less air volumes and noxious fumes that can be more deadly than the fuel itself. The job required extreme caution and attention to detail.
Due to the positioning of the truck, our heavy towing technician hooked up to the rear bumper frame. A chain was used to secure the truck for transport. From here, we were able to haul the jet fuel truck along Interstate 76 to a local Brighton truck repair shop for further assessment.

Details of Heavy Towing Company Saving Jet Fuel Truck at Broomfield CO Airport
RM Heavy Towing recently received a call from the local public-use Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield, Colorado. While they didn’t need help with any of their planes, they had another issue that required our expert heavy towing services.
A jet fuel supply truck had made a delivery to power the airplanes. However, while there, a seized brake line and locked up back axle made it impossible to return to their original point of origin. The truck’s nose was parked up against a fence a little off from the path of the runways.
Our heavy towing technician made a plan and got right to work. Extra precautions were taken to minimize exposure to the fuel fumes and prevent fires and/or explosions.
Positioning of the truck required our heavy towing technician to hook up to the rear bumper of the jet fuel truck. A chain was used to secure the truck during its journey to Rocky Mountain Truck Centers for repairs. A short trip down Interstate 76 led us to the destination.
With that, the heavy towing job was complete! Our friends at Rocky Mountain Truck Centers took over to do a diagnostic exam of the jet fuel truck. More issues were found than originally expected. While the repairs will take some time, we expect this jet fuel truck to be back in commission very soon.
